Student Teacher Internship Program (STIP) is a J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program in which Korean Student teachers come to the United States to gain exposure to U.S. culture and to learn the systems and techniques in American classrooms while sharing the skills and knowledge gained through their experience in Korea.
The primary objective of KoAm Student Teacher Internship Program is to enhance the skills and expertise of foreign student teachers in their academic or occupational fields through structured and guided programs that improve their knowledge of the techniques, methodologies, and technology in American education system. Participation in our Student Teacher Internship Program must not be used as a substitute for ordinary employment or work purposes nor may it be used to displace American workers. The program increases international participants’ understanding of American culture, while also enhancing Americans’ knowledge of foreign cultures, customs and practices.
Interns are permitted to receive training in American schools for up to 12 months.
